Sunbed Damage

Ten years ago I went really all out at the gym and also had about 20 or 30 sunbed sessions, against the better advice of my dear mother.  My skin seems ok now, but I am very fair so sunbeds were not a good idea.  I'm kicking myself and worrying about permanent damage and ageing and skin cancers.  i'm very careful about sun protection now.  Any relief from my anxieties would be welcome.
Cheers,
Davina

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
To prevent sun damage, now try protecting yourself from the sun as far as possible. Apply a good sunscreen with minimum spf 30 atleast half an hour before going out in the sun. also wear long sleeved cotton clothes and try avoiding going out in the peak sun hours.

Also look out for any changes in moles if you are having any. If you notice changes in the mole's/mark’s color, height, size or shape, you should have a dermatologist evaluate it. You also should have it checked if it bleeds, oozes, itches, appear scaly, or become tender or painful.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Maybe you could just schedule yearly visits to a dermatologist, who will do thorough examinations of your skin to check for abnormalities, especially in places that you cannot see on yourself.  Hope this helps.
