Sunburn still noticeable 5-6 months later

I got a sunburn over the summer (don’t remember the exact month) but it was cloudy out and of course I didn’t wear sunscreen. But months after the redness is still there. I’m having trouble posting a picture here but the redness is still quite noticeable.  Has anyone else had this problem before?

Just wanted to check in to see how you were doing?  Were you able to get to a doctor at all?  Hope you are doing better!

Is there any pain with the redness?  It is possible for a sunburn to damage the skin, however, typically the redness does go away.  If you have had it this long, I'd get to a dermatologist to check out and see if it's damage from the sun or something else causing the redness.
