rash 30 days after unprotected sex/2 days after long flight from hawaii

Hi there, 30 days ago I had unprotected sex and developed a red rash with a few red dots on just my left upper thigh where the crease close to my scrotum. Its dry and chafed a little but I've had it for a week. I also came home from Hawaii 2 days prior to the rash starting. Long flights and I wasn't able to shower for a day or day and a half. Im not sure of its an std or jock itch. I just started using lotrimin. What do you think it would be? No illness or problems peeing or with my vision.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
A clinical examination is must for accurate diagnosis. An allergic reaction, eczema, fungal infection all can cause rashes on the upper thigh. Humid weather, physical activity, certain clothing fabrics, overheating, can all lead to heat rash. There is inflammation, formation of blisters and itchy rash. Contact dermatitis is another possibility caused due to contact with any allergen. Jock itch, or tinea cruris, is a fungal infection caused by the fungus Trichophyton rubrum. It causes an itching annoying rash in the groin area, buttocks, and inner thighs .Application of Clotrimazole cream may provide relief. Maintain local hygiene. Wear loose cotton undergarments. If the symptoms are severe seek the opinion of a dermatologist. I hope you find this information useful.
Best of luck and regards!
