No swelling, just a bump, but another did come up on the opposite side, although further back. I have told my mom, as awkward as that is, and asked if we should go to women's favorite doctor (right :D) and she says no, we'll wait it out because they want a lot of money.
I'll keep cleansing and doing my thing and hopefull alls well that ends well. Thanks!!!
Hi
Palpable nodes refer to enlarged lymph nodes. Do you have any swelling in the groin area?
Itchiness may strongly suggest a yeast infection. Hormonal changes may sometimes cause alteration in vaginal pH ( state of acidity ) which may alter the balance in the growth and colonization of certain organisms . These change may lead to increase in colonization and growth of these organisms, an example of which are fungal organisms and other bacteria. This may increase the risk for bacterial and yeast infections.
Maintain good genital hygiene. Also, use a mild cleanser to wash the area. Just try to observe the condition. If the itchiness persists and if a rash is noted , then you may need to have this assessed by a physician.
Yes, I have been checked thoroughly since the incident, although it was aa few months before we did report it. They say everything was in order and that I was still a virgin (thankfully, who would want to loose their virginity to that?). I have not been back to the doctor, this was I'm thinking on September 6 or 7 of 2005, so it has been a while. I was hoping I could find an answer before spending all the money we don't have to go back, although I probably should schedule a check up again, since i was 13.
My mom frequently used to get yeast infections a few years back until she discovered the cause but her habits are nothing like mine.
I do not have a fever, nor have I had one.
I have no idea about palpable nodes, you may have to explain that one a little more. :0)
Hi
I do understand your concern. Have you been thoroughly checked after the rape incident? Have you reported this incident to the proper authorities? Have you followed up with your physician since then?
At this point, we may be thinking of a yeast or fungal infection as this usually results to itchiness. The bump may be due to a swollen gland within the labia. If this is tender, then this may be infected.
Do you have any fever?
Any palpable nodes in the area?
