Tingle / Itch on Face

Three months ago I had a sexual encounter where there was some STD concerns. During intercourse the condom came off.  I had a small bump near the tip of my penis about a week to 10 days after the encounter.  It never blistered changed shape and was never painful.  I saw a dermatologist about it and she did not think it was anything and said it would just fade away, which it has.  I developed burning and a tingle in my gentital area shortly after visiting the dermatologist.  I was tested for Chlaymdia Gonhrhea Syphlis HIV and Hep B all negative but put on antibiotics as a precaution.  Never tested for herpes but both my general doc, a urolgist and the dermatologist did not think it was a concern.  It has been over three months now since the sexual encounter and I still have occaional burning in my genital region.  My regular doctor put me on nerve medication for that and said if it does not go away in three months she would do an MRI to see if anything else is going on.

My question is, for the past few days I have had an itchy feeling around the outside of my mouth and today my chin feels like it stings or burns slightly in one spot. So far no blisters or anything of that nature just the itch and burn sensation.

1) Could this be cold sores and if so could it be due to my sexual encounter as described above? like if I had herpes in my genitals and then touched my face?

2) With three doctors not concerened about herpes and the fact that my symptoms have persisted for so long with out any bump other than the first one which was never painful and never blistered can I put herpes out of my mind as a concern?

Thanks

Yes, by all means put herpes out of your mind.  The bumps doesn't sound like herpes, and the doctors who saw you didn't think it was.  I think the tingling, burning, and other sensations you say you have ar brought on by STD anxiety, not STD's.

Best.
