Tiny Bumps on Hands

I keep getting these tiny bumps on the tops of both my hands, no where else. they almost look like very tiny pimples without the redness and puss/heads. sometimes they do get/feel itchy but it's not a constant or annoying itch.
the bumps are still the same color as my skin, it's like a cluster of raised tiny bumps in one spot on the top of both hands. they have been there for a week now. I have gotten them before 1-2 yrs ago and never knew what caused them but they went away and I have not noticed them again until now recently. it has just became warm here now again, my husband thought it could be a sweat rash but I'm pre sure it's not that.. does anyone have any idea what this could be? I see my doctor on Monday but would like to see what someone has to say or has something similar / same thing.. thanks everyone..

Every time I use a public washing machine. Or buy salvation army /Goodwill clothes I get a itchy sensation. on hands feet forearms waistband with water blisters and a UNBEARABLE ITCH.  After going to DR> and 175.00 later I got the prescribed meds for another 75.00{ of scabies lotion} I have a lot of bedding which needed to be treated also and was running into  mass money. After all this i still had problems.  I decided to treat my laundry and myself with HARTS DOG SHAMPOO...oatmeal. Its a off white creamy color and has Pyrethrene in it to kill mites. You can get it at any pet store. At first i was terrified but DESPERATE so I soaped myself up in shower ... with about 1 tablespoon and waited a few minutes then rinsed  for a long period being careful of getting any in face eyes and private parts  After i treatment All problems went away. I treated my bedding with 1/2 cup  HARTS in washer with detergent and a 1 hour presoak. All bedding became clear. Since then I do it every time i but 2nd hand and have not had any problems.  I DONT RECOMEND  FOR OTHERS BUT IT WORKED FOR ME AND I WILL DO IT AGAIN IF FACED WITH THIS PROBLEM . I sure all the medical people are freaking out but for us that cant afford hundreds it works. Did not make me ill either.

Your description suggests the possibility of contact dermatitis, either to something allergic or an irritant.  Another possibility would be neuro-dermatitis (see the following.  Please don’t rely on me for a diagnosis, but give some thought to any generally unencountered substance that has recently come into contact with your hands.

   •     Common triggers are excess dryness of skin, heat, sweat, and psychological stress. It can also accompany other conditions such as the fungal infections candidiasis or tinea cruris, or psoriasis, lichen sclerosus, and neoplasia.  Whatever the initiating cause, the rash is often perpetuated by one’s inability to scratch the itch.

Good luck

Hello,
Another possibility which needs to be ruled out in your case is of lichen nitidus. Lichen nitidus is characterized by 1-2 mm, discrete and uniform, shiny, flat-topped, pale flesh-colored or reddish-brown papules.

You should get it evaluated from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

I forgot to add that my skin is not dry or sensitive to anything. I have fairly healthy soft skin.
I do not use any lotion or any skin products on myself.. I'm not into that type of thing. (:
sometimes they are noticeable because they are more raised out from my skin, and sometimes, like now, they are not very noticeable at all because they have "lowered" down, but you can still see them there anyways if you look closely.

I do not have any bumps or anything on my fingers or any where else. they are only on the top of my hands. they are not red and barely ever itchy.
they are just tiny little bumps that are still my skin color. there's nothing unusual about it besides the fact that they are there... I can't pop them because there is no puss or any thing fluid like inside them.
I already have psoriasis but it has become very mild and not a bother to me any more. not sure if that would have anything to do with it? eczema does run in my family, also both of my children had exZema when they were a few months old but now have never had it again.

Hello,
Your symptoms are suggestive of pompholyx. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.

For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist. Symptoms  can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.

Hi there,
The exact cause can be confirmed only after a physical examination. These small bumps can be due to any eczema or dermatitis. Fungal infection and scabies are few other possibilities. Itchy, red bumps on the fingers may develop after contact with any allergen. Scabies can cause itchy red bumps on the hands and finger webs. Fungal infection will cause bumps, scaling and itching. If there are blisters it is possible that it is due to dyshidrotic eczema. A correct diagnosis will help in deciding the exact treatment for your condition. Consult a dermatologist. Do keep me posted.
Take care and regards!
