Itchy scrotum

Hi I am 14. for about 1 and a half years, the skin on my scrotum has been itchy. It is only itchy when I am remaining inactive for a while, sometimes in the shower, and at night. Another point to notice is that it is itchy no where else at alllll. I have a theory that sicne I started wearing my uncles boxers (yeah he had a bunch of nice clothing that didnt fit anymore, but was washed) it started then. Sometimes when I am wearing sweatpants and nothing else with and itchy bottom it starts again. I dont know if this is an allergic reaction, but it is all red, sometimes it is not red, and I scratch it (er, I don't scratch it) but I roll the skin in my fingers while pushing hard. this relieves the itch sometimes. As well, when I spend up to 2 hours in the shower, rubbing soap on it the whole time the redness goes away sometimes, but stilla  little itchy.
Please I would really like some help here, I am VERY nervous about telling my parents. I just recently had a girlfriend for 6 months, and she moved, we had some sexual confrontations (i.e., me pleasuring her, oral. but I only plesured her. She has tried with me but I feel nervous that she muight get whatever I have so I didn't let her touch that area anymore.)
Another note is that sometimes I scratch very hard and the skin rips. This has oinly happened twice, both times I put large amounts of polysporin on it with a bandaid.

Starting now I will try to stop itching, and will try to wait 3 days.
I have not seen a doctor about this. (Even more nervous, as our family doctor is a girl.)
My other theory is that it is the hair growth that is causing the itch, maybe it might be the hairs trying to pop out, but I don't think it is true because I do not get itchy above my penis

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The symptoms that you are having can be due to jock itch. Jock itch shows up in post-adolescent men and hormonal changes during puberty, lifestyle and heredity each play a role. Predisposing fungal disease like tines cruris may also aggravate it.

The damp skin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Wear cotton underwear and change them twice a day. and do not share other people’s towels. Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
