Weird symmetrical rash underneath both armpits

About 4-5 days ago, I noticed this circular/oval red rash underneath both of my armpits and thought it was no big deal. Then about 2-3 days ago, the rash began to worsen and felt like it was burning whenever my skin rubbed against it. This is the point at which I noticed this, one to about 2 inches in diameter, rash was underneath both armpits in the exact same spot and looked identical. This made me think it could possibly be something systemic, but I really can't be sure. By today, it is still painful to the touch and whenever I lift my arm or that part of the skin touches another part of my skin, the rash hurts. It does not itch at all. The redness of both rashes has been gradually increasing as well as it looks even partly yellowish on certain parts as if its scabbing over maybe? (not too sure). It also has some darker reddish lines throughout it, which I believe are just the areas where my skin folds over on the rash. I'm just very confused about this and wonder if it's anything to really be worried about. Neosporin/bacitricin didn't take away the pain, nor did any moisturizer or aloe vera. Any information or opinions about this?

Have you had any more trouble with this rash?  I am experiencing something that sounds similar except I also have it on my legs.  Mine didn't blister yet.  Have you received any other diagnosis? I've been researching Dermatitis Herpetiformis.  I see my doc soon but in the meantime just wondering.

Thank you for your input doctor! This about the 7th- 8th day and both areas are scabbing over and i believe there is now a new layer of pinkish new skin that has come underneath it. I believe that is normal with scabbing though. Hopefully it will not come back again, the only thing I did during its presence was use neosporin/bacitricin to hopefully heal it faster and I assume that worked.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Without examination I cannot confirm a diagnosis but it can be lichen planus, fungal infection, sweat dermatitis, chafing or intertrigo.

Lichen planus is an inflammatory disease that affects the skin and the oral mucosa, and presents itself in the form of papules(flat spots) or rashes.  It is an itchy papular eruption characterized by its violaceous color. Treatment is available only on prescription and consists mainly of steroids, retinoids, hydroquinone and phototherapy.

I suggest you to get it examined from a dermatologist so as to confirm the diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
