Why do I only sweat from my face now?

Around 2011, I started using Dove Clinical Protection Antiperspirant as my deodorant because I was having extreme armpit sweat during physical activities. I used it for a few years, probably until 2013 or 2014, then stopped using it and switched back to a regular deodorant because I was no longer having sweat problems. Last summer, I started to play tennis regularly and became more active, and immediately recognized that I had a horrible facial sweating problem. Every day, my face was dripping in sweat within seconds of practice. The weird thing was, my armpits weren't sweating at all. I sweated a tiny bit below my chest and on my stomach, but barely at all there. The only place I was sweating from was from my face! Every since then, anytime I start to get hot or nervous and begin to sweat, it always goes straight to my face/head and I'm drenched in sweat within seconds. What I'm wondering is, could the clinical strength antiperspirant that I used for several years somehow closed off the sweat glands in my armpits permanently and caused my sweat to leave my body from my face/head? I have no clue if it's  actually possible, but I feel like it's the only thing that could explain the hyperhidrosis of my face and the complete stop of sweating out of my underarms.
