What is going on with this cut I have?

asically skinned of a layer or two of skin on my are by accident with my nail. That was over a week ago. It has failed to heal properly. It took a long time to scab. Then unfortunately when it did scab I once again. Nicked it and it came off a few day after I initially did it. Now it is very red. There is a scab. But there are also like these small ichy bumps around the wound. They are more pinkish and when scratched they have clear stuff in them. I have never had any heal this long nor experience ichy bumps around a cut.
What is happening? Could it be infected.

Is the cut hot to the touch or anything like that?  If it's having some trouble healing up, it's always worth going to the doctor for a look.

Make sure you wash the area with soap, you can also get some first aid antibiotic ointment and place the ointment on the cut- put a bandage over it to keep the ointment on, and try not to itch it or touch it.  

Definitely get to the doctor if that doesn't seem to help.

Its warmer to the touch then my other skin. I guess I will have to see the doctor.

Yes, if it's feeling warm to the touch, infection is likely- hope you are able to get to the doctor soon!
