White Blotches

My 11yr old son is Brown Skinned and he has white blotches on his face. I too have the same problem I dont know if its from low Iron or what its not the micheal jackson thing I know it just looks like our face color if fading out spots all over. I see this alot in younger kids Please can you Help

Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be pityriasis versicolor or pityriasis alba. Pityriasis versicolor  is caused by an overgrowth of a yeast fungus and are found mainly on sun exposed areas. Pityriasis alba is a common hypopigmented dermatitis.This is a self-limited disorder that usually resolves by adulthood. Severe cases may benefit by Psoralen plus ultraviolet light A photochemotherapy (PUVA).
