White spot on penis shaft

Hello doctor,

This is my medical history before asking my question:

1. Not sexually active for the last five years

2. Always used condoms and only had two sexual partners

3. Got tested for STDs (even for genital warts due to bumps in penis) two weeks ago by my GP and dermatologist and results are negative

4. Dermatologist diagnosed me with lichen nitidus all over my penis shaft and confirmed by GP

5. Diagnosed with a common wart in my hand.  Doctor examined me and said there was no chance spreading wart to my genital due to its size and type of wart.  He told me not to worry.

Question:

I noticed a shiny flat spot (not a bump) in the back of my penis shaft.  It only turns white if I stretch it out too much.  However, the patch has been turning a little white in the last couple of days.  The spot might have been there when my GP examined me two weeks ago.  It does not hurt or itch.  The spot is surrounded by lichen nitidus and sebanous glands.  However, it is not a bump like lichen or glands.  I am not worried since I’ve been clear of STDs or cancer.  I will schedule an appointment with my dermatologist.  What could this be?  Is it really true I couldn’t spread my hand wart to my genitals?

Thanks.

Doctor, I forgot to add another descripition:  All my warts are very small and are at the stage of becoming bumps.  They look white and you have to look very hard to notice them.

Thanks.

Thank you, doctor.  I went to an urgent care center for an unrelated issue (which is my next question) and the spot is not a wart.

Last question:  My hand wart has spread to both hands in the last two weeks.  I keep getting new ones almost every day.  However, it has not spread to other parts of my body.  I never had this happened to me before.  The doctor did not seen concerned spreading the wart to other parts of the body.  Should I still not worry about spreading it in other parts (ex. penis, feet, etc) and why could be the causes for common wart spread so rapidly?  An urgent care clinic told me to call my doctor since I am not getting better (He's on vacation and won't seem him until next week).  If it keeps getting worst, do I need to go to the emergency room (I know that sound drastic, but it's getting embarrassing to see too many warts in both hands)

Thank you.

It's probably a small cyst in the penis skin.  I'm sure you'll find that it's OK.  And yes, it is true that you don't spread warts from the hand to the penis.

Best.
