About warts

This might not be a STD case as i want to get information avbout treatment of warts.I first had an wart.which didinot go for next five years.After the exposure of 1st wart,other warts appeared and now i do have more than 10 warts in my right hand.i have gone through a lot of homeopathic mesicine but it did not help me.I want to get rid of it.can yoy suggest me some treatment????

According to Merck manual, prolonged or repeated contact is necessary for the virus to spread, warts are most often spread from one area of the body to another, but they can spread also from one person to another.

For small warts, several medications(like podophyllum resin, Podofilox (Condylox), Trichloroacetic and bichloroacetic acids, Imiquimod 5% cream and interferons) are available, which can be applied directly to the surface of the warts. Other treatment options include electrical cautery, surgical removal, Carbon dioxide laser treatment and electrodesiccation.

I sincerely suggest you to discuss these treatment options with a dermatologist.
