red steaks on different parts of the body

My comment comes from the one I read before about people having red streaks on their body that appear out of nowhere.  I have the EXACT same thing.  It's a red line at first and later becomes a thin long scab hardly detectable accept by touch.  It comes from prior burning or a feeling of lightning striking my inside body...or a sudden sharp pain. I will look, see nothing, but then some days later a red line or especially a thin scabbed line will appear, some up to six or more inches long and others very short..a half inch or more.  They show up literally ANY WHERE on my body...anywhere.  Then they disappear and others will come up. Right now I have three on my abdomen area and one on my hand on top...and another on my shoulder.  It is a mystery. I'm wondering if there is nerve damage and it is kin to shingles of some type. I have not been to a doctor...but it is becoming so frequent and odd, that I guess I should go.
Does anyone have a thought or has anyone that has already posted something on this topic have any new insight on the phenomenon?   Thanks, Susan

My son who is 13 has long and short red lines on his sides, back of his legs and now one on his face.  Did you every have a diagnosis.
