thanks for the info,my next visit to the doc is a week away.those Lil white crumbs are stuck to the tissue while the healing is taking place.I wonder because it's so deep that maybe it has something to do with the bone.all the pieces are coming from the bottom not from the surface.for example picture this,a sandwich bag with some white rice, now imagine slamming a hammer to the rice, what you have now in that sandwich baggie is a bunch of crumbs.I pull out & tweezer some everyday maybe 3-4 a day.out of my abcess.differant sizes, shapes and forms.like I've said in my first post I've Been saving them to show my doctor at my next visit I'll keep you posted.my abcess does not pus,it's clean, there's no dead tissue and I'm not useing any antibiotec ointment.I do use warm water with antibiotic hand soap.I spread a 4x4 gauze and stuff it with toilet papper.no toilet papper touches the abcess.thanks again
Hello,
See when an abscess is healing reddish pink granulation tissue is seen at the base of the abscess.when there is no discharge from the abscess or if your gauze is not soiled,it menas a proper healing is taking place. These while crumbs can be due to drying of the topical medicine that you are applying while packing.Had it been pus, then it would not have dried and the gauze would have been soiled. Are you applying any topical antibiotic for the packing?
If there is any associated wound drainage even of pus or any fevr or redness, then pls get it evaluated from your doctor.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.
