Thank you doctor. I didn't understand all of your answer, but I understand enough to know what I should do next, go to a dermatologist. Apparantly, this is beyond my doctor's expertise. By the way, the topic steroid cream she prescribed worked well on the previous blisters but I'm still getting NEW blisters, one by one. I used up 2 tubes & the dr. approved refill for only one more when I told her I was getting new outbreaks. She wants me to come in for another bloodwork but I want a dermatology exam next. Thanks, I'll be in touch.
These itchy blisters on the palms can be due to contact dermatitis or pompholyx. Pompholyx is also called dyshidrotic eczema. It is characterized by a sudden onset of many deep-seated pruritic, clear vesicles which itch and then peel off. As a result the skin may also fissure.
Apply some calamine lotion on the affected area and keep the area well moisturized. Use only thin applications of moisturizer ointments as excessive amounts of ointment may restrict breathing of the skin and aggravate the condition.
Topical steroids can be applied but they are available under prescription. Moreover to prevent infection, topical antibiotics may be needed. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.
Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
