belly button problem

my boyfriend has a wierd greenish dishcarge from his belly button, it smells rilly bad, he has no irritation or anything that i can see from the outside, but when he puts alcohol on it it rilly hurts him, he says hes never actually felt the end of his belly button, he actually thinks it has no end.  Is this even possible or does he just have some kind of infection? I dont think its yeast because its not white or itchy.    What could be the problem?

Hi Kaitlyn. All belly buttons look different due to the way the umbilical cord was cut and clamped at birth. A foul smelling green dishcharge needs to be looked at by a doctor. Go with him to the doctor, and in the meantime tell him to avoid putting anything on it or touching it too much as secondary infection may complicate the diagnosis. Once the doctor knows whether it is bacterial or not he will be able to prescribe the right treatment to clear it up. Loiloi x
