Surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.I would suggest a dermatologist’s evaluation.

From the symptoms,it sounds like epidermoid cyst which is infected.It is a benign cyst usually found on the skin.It can also be caused by a blocked pore adjacent to a body piercing.
