These skin conditions usually involve areas like the armpitsArmpit lump or the groinGroin lump Groin pain Groin stretch Jock itch Swollen lymph nodes in the groin. You may apply topical antibiotics or use antibacterial soaps over the areas and see if this improves. Folliculitis is usually contagious. Hidradenitis suppurativa does not respond to antibiotics and if the cases are severe you may need to have the bumps incised and drained or injected with corticosteroids.
Big bumps or sores in these areas may suggest a folliculitis or hidradenitis suppurativa. "Hidradenitis suppurativa or HS is a skin disease that affects areas bearing apocrine sweat glands and hair follicles; such as the underarms, groin and buttocks. It is more commonly found in women and can be present under the breasts."
