brown itchy patch on my back

can any one help have a patch of skin on my back, 4cm round with light brown edge to it is very itchy.
put all sorts of cream on it still there

Hi,

This may be fungal infection, eczema, pityriasis rosea.

each of these is a distinct condition and therefore may need examination and tests to rule out th cause.

Fungal infection is common in warm and humid areas and appears like an annular itchy lesion with central clearing.

Eczema may be caused by some allergen or irritant at the site and may lead to development of itchy, lichnous areas.

Pityriasis rosea may start with a Herald patch which may then lead on to more such lesions. They may not be very itchy in nature.

You may have to visit a dermatologist to get the examination, diagnosis and treatment. meanwhile, you may keep the area clean and use anti-histamines for the itching.
