bruise

I, unfortunately, caught a wild elbow in a basketball game 3 months ago. Recently I was given an opthalmic ointment for the swelling and its almost gone. Whats the fastest way to get rid the discoloration that has also been under my eye and is still here.

The blood under the skin which causes the discoloration of bruising should be totally reabsorbed by the body in three weeks or less.

In your case, as the symptoms are persisting for more than 3 months, so it may be due to formation of hematoma because of blood trapped in tissues. This blood may need to be drained. Till that time, apply warm compresses on the bruise.
