thanks for the info. these little red dots have been developing over a year or so. they dont seem to be going any where. my own thoughts where that they were little blood vessels that have ruptured near the surface of me skin. im just concerned that a bigger one might decide to do the same one day, if thats what they are. they are the colour of fresh blood. i'll look in to getting some iron suplements and multivits.  surprisingly i noticed that bruis on my arm dissappered yesturday, it must have been a really slow healing one. thanks again.
steve.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but the only possibility that is coming to my mind is petechiael spots. They are pinpoint-sized red dots under the surface of the skin. They are common after skin trauma and viral infections. They should go away in a few days. But if they persist then please consult a physician and get other causes ruled out which include allergic reaction, autoimmune diseases, thrombocytopenia, ITP or leukemias. Also try taking iron tablets and multivitamins for some days and see if the symptoms improve.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
