Hi,
Are there other symptoms present? This could be an inflamed hair follicle or a sebaceous cyst. A sebacious cyst is a closed sac or cyst below the surface of the skin that has a lining that resembles the uppermost part of a hair follicle and fills with a fatty white, semi-solid material called sebum. They may occur anywhere on the body except the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. In males a common place for them to develop is the scrotum and chest .They are more common in hairier areas, where in cases of long duration they could result in hair loss on the skin surface immediately above the cyst. They are smooth to the touch, vary in size, mobile and are generally round in shape. It could be brought about by blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles, and excessive testosterone production.
Sebaceous cysts generally do not require medical treatment. However, they can be surgically removed if they continue to grow, they may become unsightly, painful,or infected. If it persists, it would be best to have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management. Visual inspection and physical examination are needed to reach a diagnosis. Take care and regards.
What if I did pop it an now my lymph nodes are swollen & sore
Well i have a similar issue, mine is between my testicles and gooch, its larger than a pea but its gooey or soft to the touch, kinda like a burn blister, like liquids beneath it, i cant pop it and its got me worried. if u can help me with this, reply!
I have that also but I am to embarrassed to tell my parents or docter
I actually have the same thing too. And its smaller than a pea for me but it is uncomfortable so ive been trying to figure out what it is and still havent found much of anything. Is yours inflamed or no? Because mine isnt. I think it might be an excess growth maybe? If its on the outer part of the skin like mine is.
what to do about the situation if it appeared once but haven't came back in a while, will it continue to come or is this something bad?
Did you ever find out what it was? I have a friend with the exact same condition.
Please get back to me ASAP. Thanks!
