Severe Rash Issues

Hello

Ok this is really weird so I will give the most details possible. About 6 days ago I was sitting at the computer and all the sudden my arms felt like they were on fire and within 10 minutes they got beat red. They were burning. After about an  hour it went away. The next night nothing happen everything was fine. Day 3 the same thing happen again only this time my neck and face started to burn as well and got beat red along with my arms and I started itching bad so I went to walgreens and got some cortisone cream. Day 4 nothing happen. Now day 5 tonight again it happens only this time more of my body feels like it is on fire and itching bad. Weird part is it happens every other day plus always between 10pm and midnight . Another weird thing is I am not eating or drinking or doing anything different then normal

A brief background medically the only health issue I have besides being a bit over weight is that my good colestorol number is low doctor said at last check up. Nothing else. Any idea what could be going on here?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

From the symptoms that you have mentioned,it sounds like hives.

Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours.

Take antihistamines like Benadryl or Claritin and apply calamine lotion on the hives. Also use mild steroid cream like Dermacort and if the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist.

Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.

MY GIRLFRIEND HAD THIS AND THEN WOUND UP GETTING A RASH, THAT HASN'T GONE AWAY IN MONTHS, A FEW WEEKS LATER.  HER ALLERGIST HAD TOLD HER THAT IF SHE HAD GONE IN SOONER HE COULD HAVE PRESCRIBED SOMETHING LIKE STEROIDS.  I WOULD START BY GOING IN TO SEE AN INTERNIST.
