bumps appearing on my penis?

im not sure what it is but i was tanning one day and it looked liek a dark purple circle on my shaft in the tanning light. i got out and it looked like a light red circle like maybe a ring worm. over time it faded but spread to the other side of my penis and now bumps are spreading on my penis head. they look like raised scales kind of but are tiny and all different shapes. i can send a picture if someone could tell me what it may be.  ive never had unprotected sex and have had the same gf for the past year and shes clean.  this has been going on for probably the past 9 months. what could it be??

4 yrs ago i discover some like purple and shining around and the head of my penis i went to the dermatologist in long beach CA,he checked me gave me an oitment tried it no results a month after went back to him he ask me for blood test and urine saliva 3 days later went back gave me some other ointment 3 or 4 times a day for 3 months nothing he told not to worry not contagious but it make me feel insecure when i meet with any girl.last year 2010 i went to him same **** no results he gave me another ointment he said not to worry , i told my family Dr about it he told me to go back to my dermatologist i didn't bcse i lose faith.
but for the past 3 months is being like going on and on i'm getting confused.
