i developed psoriasis on my the head of my penis years ago, after seeing numerous drs and numerous steroid creams including clobetasol , which i later found out was way too strong, i now have regular bouts of psoriasis, about every other week, and still am using a cream "desonide" prescribed by my dermatologist, because if i dont use a cream when i have my symptoms, it wont get better, so it seems like im f@cked if i do , f@cked if i dont.
im under the impression that after years of using steroid creams on my penis that i have developed some long term damage and got no idea what to do now, and my trust in uruelogists, dermatologists etc is about worn thin.

any help would be gr3eatly appriciated, thanks

Hello,
I can understand your concern but it is not advisable to use steroid creams for long durations. It can cause skin atrophy, thinning, dermatitis and telenagiectasias. Treatment options include Ointment and creams containing coal tar, dithranol (anthralin), corticosteroids like desoximetasone (Topicort), vitamin D3 analogues (for example, calcipotriol), and retinoids, Psoralen+UVA and PUVB therapy. Over time, psoriasis can become resistant to a specific therapy. Treatments may be periodically changed to prevent resistance developing (tachyphylaxis) and to reduce the chance of adverse reactions occurring.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. if you keep using the steroid creams then the skin will become thinner and possibly fragile. i would definately get a second opinion on this because no doctor should recommend using steroid cream down theree, especially not for prolonged use
