Tiny bumps on back of arms and on thighs that sometimes itch?

I am a 23y/o female and since about 2012 I started noticing tiny skin colored bumps on the back of my elbows and arms that would just show up randomly and would only last a few days at most a week then go away. The bumps don't itch unless I bother them then they start to itch like crazy. Fast forward a few years to 2014/2015 the bumps are now sometimes appearing on my thighs and now I get red bumps along with skin colored bumps. I still have these bumps to this day. They still only really itch when irritated and bothered and still just randomly pop up on the back of my arms and elbows and sometimes my thigh and now on occasion my leg. When the bumps are on my thigh and leg its very few bumps just scattered, unlike on my arms where its a lot. Now sometimes the bumps will disappear the next day or sometimes last a few days.

The weird thing about it though is that every time I go on a cruise and I have been on 3 now, each time I am on the cruise I get the bumps 10x worse. Not only is it on the back on my arms, elbows and thighs the bumps are on my buttock and my legs with a lot of bumps present. The itching is also worse and my skin where the bumps are is very red. The bumps usually last the duration or the cruise, 7 days. Once I get back home it slowly goes away. I just think its weird that I have never gotten the bumps as bad as I do nor on my buttock at home as to when I am on a cruise. What could be causing these type of bumps and why do they get worse when I am on a cruise?

I have not seen a dermatologist yet because every time I schedule an appointment by the time the appointment comes my bumps are gone. I have tried to see if it was an allergic reaction to something like detergent but I changed to the no dye or perfume one and still get the bumps. I thought it could be Keratosis Pilaris but I'm not 100% sure my symptoms match those of keratosis pilaris and it doesn't explain why it gets worse on a cruise.
That's why I am leaning more toward an allergic reaction but I just don't know.

I could be going on another cruise but if I don't figure whats causing the bumps and why they are worse on the cruise than I wont be going only cause it is a nightmare to deal with when my bumps get that bad.
