Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be contact dermatitis, rash due to friction rub, folliculitis, cysts ,molluscum contagiosum(multiple, small, dome-shaped papules, often with a central depression or plug) or genital warts(caused by HPV infection).
Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. You can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lumps persist then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Reading some of the posts regarding the same problem, i applied bactroban ointment and it helps a little bit, there's no pain or itch actually , it could be folliculitis indeed , but theres a few more remaining but much smaller than the usual, is there any antibioitc i could take orally to speed up the medication and also what kind of anti-microbial soap you may recommend , thank you so much for the response.
Hello,
You can use a mild soap like Cetaphil or Dove because antiseptic soaps will dry out the skin. Oral antibiotics are not available over the counter and you need to consult your doctor for its prescription.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Thank you for your response, as of now it is gradually responding to Bactropan and Cetaphil soap, will probably give it a few more days, or
should I try neomycin also?
