doxycycline

I need to know if doxyxycline could cause muscular skeletal pain.  I know of a nurse that was on antibiotics and suffered from it and now after one week I'm starting to hurt all over.  Could there be a relation?

I've been on doxycycline for 9 months (for my acne). I was very impressed with the results. Although lately, I've been having chronic headaches (pressure behind my eyes and by my forehead) for about a week now. Should I stop taking it immediatly?

I have never heard of this side effect either. The most common side effect from antibiotics is nausea, with headache or a rash being more rare ones. but if doxycycline does not agree with you ask your doctor for a different antibiotic, there are a wide range of broad spectrum anti-biotics and ones specifically for acne. You do not say but i assume that's why you're taking it? loiloi x
