dry rash?

i have had a small, round, pinkish rash on the inside of my thigh for what seems to be a few months now. it's about the size of a dime and i'm not sure what it is. there hasn't been anything peculiar about it except for the itching today. it itches like a bug bite but yet there are no raised edges and it is slightly rougher around the edge. i thought at first it was just a discolored spot from tanning because i know that can happen but now it's not as much brown as it is a light pink, a little different from my skin color. i'm not sure if it is something i should worry about since there aren't any others.
-please let me know if there are any possible answers for my mystery spot.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be either a ringworm or nummular dermatitis. The treatment of ringworm is topical and oral antifungals and the treatment of nummular dermatitis is topical and oral steroids and antihistaminics. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated. Once the diagnosis is confirmed treatment can be planned. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
