dry skin

dry skin

I have a small (about the size of a dime) patch of dry skin located on each side of my mouth.  (these patches of dry skin do not connect to my mouth, they are actually located slightly below the mouth area).  These areas are scaly and dry, and will peel if I try to peel the skin off.  I have had this for a while, sometimes it is worse than others.  I welcome any ideas you may have to solve this problem.
Thank you.

The locations you list don't lijne up with any typical rash.  There may have been some mild irritation that you peeled.  (I know you peel, because you write, "[they] will peel if I try to peel the skin off.")

My advice?  Stop peeling, apply hydrocortisone 1% twice a day, and show a doctor if they're still there in 3 weeks.

Best.

Hello to you. I had Seb Dermatitis of the beard (dry scaley skin in the beard). Nizoral shampoo twice a week cleared this up and has not been seen since (also read about apple cider vinegar organic and dry skin)..
