face rash

Can anyone plase help.
My wife developed a rash on her face about a year ago, which is more prominent on the right hand side, and is above the mouth and near to the nose/cheek area.It is red and bumpy and seems to flare up for no apparent reason.
She has seen different dermatolologists who have all given her a different diagnosis, ranging from rosacea to acne vulgaris.
She has tried many different things, creams , lotions,  antibiotics etc
Although taking antibiotics for around 8 weeks seemed to almost clear it up it came back.
Hidrocotizone also seemed to help, but again did not clear it up completely and it just flared up when she stopped using it. She stopped as she was wooried about the harm the long term use of the cream could do to her face.
Does anyone know if any laser treatment or any similar kind of treatment would help, or have any other suggestions to help.
