Skin rash all over the body

When I scratch an area of my body for a couple of seconds it turns into a rash, then it just gets worse.  I have been to several doctors and they said it is either excema or psoriasis, and gave me some creams and Antihistamines, and Antibiotics.  I took my pills, did the cream, but it still itches.  And what really bugs me is that I can't sleep at night becuase of it. What do you suggest I should do?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to hives or dermatographism. The other possibility is of neurodermatitis. Neurodermatitis develops when nerve endings in the skin become irritated, triggering a severe itch-scratch-itch cycle. Common causes of nerve irritation include an insect bite and emotional stress. I suggest you to get an examination done from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Sounds like the itch scratch itch cycle. Most GP's are familiar with the treatment of eczema, but if yours is not a referral to a dermatologist should do the trick. The treatment is not just a one off thing. A proper regime which takes time and must be adhered to is the only answer.
