female child going bald

My 3 yr old daughter, Tatianna, is losing her hair in clumps.  I noticed a couple months ago areas of her scalp that were bright red and placed it off as a birth mark.  Those same exact areas or red scalp is where she is losing hair rapidly...and we're noticing more red blotches starting to appear on other areas of her scalp.  She's been to the doc's /dermatologists...no one seems to have answers or treatments because she is so young.  Next Thursday we will get blood samples taken just to check for any other issues.  I've also noticed she's been having problems passing bowel movements & am beginning to wonder if the too are related.  Is there a holistic approach I can try?  Is there anything i can do to keep my child from going bald?

it's not a fungus...they tried to treat it as ringworm...it's not scaling, shiny, crusty or *****...i definately know what a ring worm looks like & the quarter sized patches of skin are totally smooth...it's just like a bald scalp...you can see black spots at the root of her hair where it once grew...they've been treating it w/ some cream i don't know the name of it off the top of my head...and we've seen light hair regrowth but very very thin & light in color.  this is a hispanic child...she has hair growth all over her body....excessive body hair growth has always been in our family...& she had a head full of curly thick smooth beautiful dark hair...this is why it took us so long to realize she was losing hair.  Because her hair is soo thick it's still not noticable but at the rate it's dropping my fear is she will be bald within the next couple of months if it doesn't stop falling out.
there are more red patch appearing on her scalp...i believe those red patches are where her hair will be falling out next if we can't stop this.

first of all- did you check her for tinea capitis? (a fungal infection of the scalp, with  round patches of hair loss, breaking of hair, and scaling?) it is easy to treat !
if it is not this and dermatologist did not find the answer, a biopsy of the scalp is reasonable.
connection between hair loss and bowel movement- maybe some nutrient deficiency- vitamins, iron, celiac disease, a pediatric dermatologist might help.
please let me know when you find out
