MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Folliculitis or inflammation of the hair follicles is a very common condition. This usually resolves on its own, and may recur. It  would help to avoid wearing constrictive clothing and to apply warm compress to the area. Topical antibacterial medications or antibacterial soap may also help prevent the infection. Always keep the area clean and dry and try not to avoid manipulating the lesion to prevent secondary infection. If it still persists, it would be best to have it evaluated by your doctor to rule out other causes.

Take care and keep us posted.
