hard skin on hands
over a year ago, very hard skin patches in yellow colour formed on both my hands. I did not take it seriously at first it got worse after 8 months I visited my GP and i have tried all the creams in this world to no effects. Please help, i am a woman and its really embarasing.
the hard patches are they actual skin patches? To me this sounds like areas where your body has made extra keratin cells (skin cells) and your doctor may need to do a biopsy test to check for any specific disorders
You haven't explained a lot about what you have. Have you checked to see if it's fungal? It's harder to get rid of and you may have to take some pills to get rid of it. They will usually make you get a liver test(blood test) first.
Ask the doctor to take some of the skin tissue and maybe even a fingernail sample.
