how did i get this wart?

I have what I believe to be a wart on my forehead. Its quite raised, redish and looks much like a pencil eraser. A few days after using a freezing kit I bought at CVS, the surface was covered with what I'm guess are dead blood vessels, as they look like dead-skin colored "hairs". The "hairs" are only visible close up. The wart stil remains , but I've just given it a second treatment and was a little more thorough this time so hopefully it takes care of it. What I don't understand though is how I could have acquired it. I haven't had intercourse in 7 years, and have had only one oral sexual encounter since then which was about 2 years ago. I've never had anything like this and it showed up a few weeks to a month ago. Is it possible that I got it another way? I don't have excessive contact with anyone.

It seems to me that if all it takes is skin contact there could be lots of other ways besides sexual interaction that could cause it. It's on my forehead which isn't exactly used much in sex. Also, 2 years seems to be a very long time for something to remain dormant.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Warts are tumors or growths of the skin caused by infection with Human Papillomavirus (HPV).They are contagious when in contact with the skin of an infected person. So you could have got the virus in your last sexual intercourse and the virus may have been lying dormant.

For small warts, several medications(like podophyllum resin, Podofilox (Condylox), Trichloroacetic and bichloroacetic acids, Imiquimod 5% cream and interferons) are available, which can be applied directly to the surface of the warts. Other treatment options include electrical cautery, surgical removal, Carbon dioxide laser treatment and electrodesiccation.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
