i am scared..what is this

after having sex with my first sexual partner i have developed a rash.   at first it was a red blotch (no bumps in blotch)near the base of my penis on the scrotum about one inch in diameter with two pimple like bumps around the periphery the area itched and the "pimples" were painful.  then the rash appeared to spread over the course of the next couple of days.  the original marks faded and an area of new painful itchy pimples started and spread all the way to my lower abdomen.  the dots never develop vesicles with clear fluid...instead they looked exactely like white heads with pus in them or just appeared as red bumps.  the marks never scab over.  the sex was vigorous at times and i had been chafed in many if not all of these areas. unfortunately, we did not clean up after the sex and i went to bed with a lot of moisture in the groin. when i saw my gp he said it was probably from the friction and gave my a steroidal cream.  these bumps continue to appear. after using the cream in the places where the rash was there is some white sloughing of skin. I am still very upset because i believe they could be herpes. i had a low grade fever when i saw the docter and some back pain along with being tired...but we had been up very late every night and a flu or cold has been going around too.   i am just so scared.  can herpes continue to spread through an outbreak and develop white heads with pus?

I have a very similar problem.  But my partner has diagnosed herpes.  Her herpes don't look anything like what I have though.  We had sex about 2 days ago, and she just got over an outbreak.  Today I have these little bumps that slightly itch and look almost exactly like whitehead pimples!  I assume it could be herpes...but it doesn't look like it since there seems to be a small patch and then random bumps elsewhere.  What do you think?

I am also having very similar problems and would love to know if there have been any answers for the other people listed.

I have been tested for many, many things that all come up that I am fit as a fiddle and yet I have itching and burning sensations at extreme levels in my crotch, anus, and stomach.  In the past I have felt the same burning on almost every part of my body.  I have experienced skin deterioration as if the top several layers of skin were missing. ( sticky ) At one point I stopped working due to excessive heat and burning that made it just about impossible to keep a pair of pants on.  Over a year later, bankrupt and burning up, I am still trying to diagnose this thing.

Where can someone get real help?  We may all have some new STD that five years from now will have a name.  Until then, are we all screwed.  Someone should research all three of us since I can tell you this condition is miserable and a leap of a bridge would be a relief.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has the rash AND itching stopped yet?  I had something very similar to the situation you talked about. A few months later, I still itch in that area.  I don't get a rash anymore, but the itching never stops.  Just wondering if you are experiencing this.  I've tried alot of presciptions given to me by my doc.  He really doesn't know what it is.  He was thinking that it was herpes, but now he's not so sure.  Shouldn't herpes come and go.  Itching on the scrotum and on either side of it constantly is not what herpes does normally--is it? This is driving me insane.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
What you describe does not sound at all like herpes, which presents as clusters of blisters which last 7-10 days, then go away.  (See, for instance, New Zealand Dermnet (http://www.dermnet.org.nz/).  Your GP was almost certainly correct.  If you're still anxious, ask him or her again.  And get some information about STD's and safe sex, from your doctor, health department, or Internet sites, so you won't be so anxious.

Best.
