infant tiny red dots

my 3 month old has pinpoint red dots on stomach and fever...hE HAS BEEN ON AUGMENTUM FOR SEVEN DAYS and it just appeared on 6th day..is this an alergic (allergic) reaction or something else?>

Hello,
Such an itchy rash which comes on suddenly and appearing on the whole body is most likely due to an allergic reaction. The other possibility is of a viral infection. Oral antihistaminics like Benadryl and topical steroids are also helpful. Make him wear cotton clothes and avoid scratching. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.
