itchy blisters on face

I have had a "rash" that started on my chin, and has now spread across my face and into my ears. It is very itchy and has watery blisters that dry up and flake off (my skin is very red around this area). I've seen my GP and a dermotologist to no avail. Anyone have any suggetions?

I am 51 yrs old. I have hay fever and psoriasis. I've had the rash since January. The dermotologist I saw prescribed Protopic, which didn't work (even after I suffered thru almost every side effect listed). I also have Dovobet, Hydrocortisone Acetate (Hyderm) and  Betaderm. I am currently using the Hyderm, however, nothing is working and the rash keeps spreading. I am currently looking for a new dermotologist but there's a long waiting list. Thanks for responding.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

Differentials for a rash on the face that may blister and present with scale are dermatitis, fungal infections and an allergic reaction. If you have any history of allergies, any recent application of creams or lotions on the face, then this may be case of allergic contact dermatitis. A microscopic valuation of the scales or flakes may be able to help ascertain the diagnosis. A KOH examination may help ascertain if a fungal infection is present.

Have you tried using topical corticosteroids on the area?
