itchy skin around anus

Hi,

For quite some time now, maybe 2-3 years I have had what seems like a skin growth just outside my anus.  Not always, but it can itch and when I go to the bathroom it will sometimes very lightly bleed.

I showed this to my GP once, who attached no significance to it and thought it would go away.  I am going to see someone else soon for an opinion but I would like to ask here as well.  I shower daily and do not use harsh soaps. I have had a last STI check roughly 6 months ago. Please see these three pictures:

Thanks.

Wow... way to read that one over ;)  I mean I recall this one period of about 2-3 days where it was quite hard and took on a more rigid ball shape.

Thanks for your reply.  Typically it is not very hard, but I do recall this one period of about 2-3 ways were it was quite hard and took on a more rigid ball shape.

I went for a full STI check last week -- a doc who looked there also gave this as her opinion.  I have an appointment with my GP in about 3 weeks time so I will press the issue again with him then.  I'll let you know how that turns out.

Thanks!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks external hemorrhoid to me. Increased straining during bowel movements, by constipation or diarrhea, may lead to hemorrhoids.

Symptoms of external hemorrhoids may include painful swelling or a hard lump around the anus which may itch. Treatment includes sclerotherapy, rubber band ligation, cryosurgery or Stapled Hemorrhoidectomy. Please consult a surgeon and get it evaluated.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
