If it gets worse, you will need to see your doctor much sooner.
With scabies, the skin is very itchy and you can sometimes see a white line on the skin where the scabies burrow underneath.
Calamine lotion will help to cool down the itching. If you do have shingles, you will need a specific medication.
If you have had a sting by a bug, you can still get an infection.
Ask your mom to take your temperature and if it is raised, she should contact your doctor as you may be fighting an infection. Bacteria can enter through broken skin no matter how small that may be.
i don't have pets or plants. would calamine lotion help? and oh, also, i did have chickenpox as a child when i was about 3. i also looked on another forum, someone asking the same question about something that looks extremely similar to mine, and it turned out to be shingles, i'm pretty sure i can rule out scabies, as with scabies it doesn't leave a red line under the bumps. a red line just appeared a couple hours ago, i'm also starting to feel tingling in that area, and chills up around my neck and shoulders.
Have you been near any plants or pets? could be bug bites if you have been outside.
Apply some antiseptic cream to the spots for now. See how you get on.
As the spots are confined on your arm, I would rule out shingles for now. Shingles follow the route of a nerve.
Absolutely show your mom.
it's in just a cluster in one spot on my arm, its in sort of a line formation, on my forearm near my elbow. then theres two a little bit aways from the cluster.
yes, there is some pain, but it randomly occurs for short periods of time.
i am 18 years old, and i believe i have had chickenpox before, but i'm not totally sure on that, i will get back to you when i get the chance to ask my mother.
i am planning to see a doctor next week, just trying to rule out some of the possibilities.
It is hard to figure out what this rash may be as you do not say where on your body it is. Is it in spot, or all over.
When you say there is "very little pain, mostly none at all" So there is some pain?
You don't say how old you are either.
As this line of small bumps with a red rash also have some pain, I am wondering whether it is shingles. The rash would run along a nerve route and would also feel painful. If you have had chicken pox in the past, then there is a possibility this could be shingles.
Make an urgent appointment to see your doctor to identify this rash. If it is shingles, you need to keep away from certain groups of people. Your doctor will advise you.
Let me know how you get on.
still trying to research my rashes ,,,they came on after I took the anti biotic Bactrim
