Red shiny patch under foreskin, glans look swollen and wrinkly

Hello, I’ve had this problem for a month now. There is a red, shiny patch under the foreskin. It doesn’t pain or itch. Also my penis glan gets dry and wrinkly, the bottom part seems a little swollen. I apply aquaphor everyday and that helps to retain moisture.

I went to a dermatologist and he said it’s not an infection and is probably a bruise due to rough sex or masterbation. He prescribed a mild steroid cream but after reading the side affects, skin thinning etc. I’m very skeptical.

Can someone help on this could be and if it’ll go away without using the steroid cream?

I’m attaching pictures too.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not a big fan of steroid use either, so I can understand your concerns, however, I'd go to a different doctor for a second opinion instead of just not using the cream.  If the two agree, then go ahead and use it as prescribed.  A month is a good amount of time to have this and have it not go away, so it sounds like medical assistance in healing is needed.

Thanks. I’ll get a second opinion before doing anything.
