pale white patches and spots on face, cheeks of my seven yr old son

Hello, I am still waiting for any response and medical advise on my son's skin condition. Can you please help me in figuring out what exactly are we looking at? I am attaching the previous post with this. Also my son has no itching on these white patches/spots area. They are smooth and flat on the skin of his face.
Thanks and Regards,

"Hi
My seven year old son has developed some pale white patches and spots on his cheeks which looks like skin discoloration. He has several small pale white spots on the upper half of his cheeks appearing close to each other in an oval pattern and also he has pea sized pale white patches on the lower area of his cheeks  in a circular/oval shape. These spots and patches were present for a month now but were not so prominent. They have become noticeable within the past week. Can you please advice how should we proceed with the treatment of this skin condition? Is it a summer time sun related skin issue or are we looking at something more serious? He also has some cold and cough going on for the past few weeks.
Thanks "

My son who is 8 has the same thing.  it seems to be more promenent after he is in the sun.  i keep sunscreen on him but it wears off during the day and I'm not there to put it back on him.  I only notice it during the warmer weather when he is in the sun.  I'm going to the dermatologist myself on the 9th and i'm going to see if they can look at him at the same time.  Let me know if you learn anything before then.

Hi,

Nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions and a proper clinical examination.

You would need to rule out skin conditions including a fungal infection and systemic conditions like worms in the gastrointestinal tract, etc.

It would be best to consult  a pediatrician for the symptoms and discuss whether he needs to be seen by a skin specialist.

Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.

Regards.
