I have sever folliculitis infection on my legs from two years which is incurable.Treatments are not giving any helps.please help ..........I'm very desperate to treat them as these are very very ugly.
Hello,
If the folliculitis is not responding to treatment pityrosporum folliculitis needs to be ruled out. folliculitis presents as pruritic, follicular papules on the back and trunk of young and middle aged adults. It is caused by overgrowth of Malassezia yeasts which is a normal inhabitant of skin. Please get a biopsy skin done to confirm the diagnosis.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
