purple rash inside elbows + red rash on belly

My 12yo son developed a raised red rash about 3 days ago on his belly. Most of the spots are pin-point size, some - about ten are almost like a line, about 4mm across (maybe 1/5th of an inch). they are slightly raised. Initially I thought chickenpox but he is otherwise fine and they didn't develop further. To me it looked like an odd heat rash?
Then today when he got home from school and took off his school shirt, we freaked when we saw a purple - and i mean PURPLE rash of sorts on the creases of his elbows (where you bend your arms). the rash is almost like deep bruising, it is actually lines across the creases. it isn't raised. It doesn't fade when you press it. I did panic initially, thinking menigococcal or something sordid, but he is otherwise well and there are no other symptoms.

I cannot find anything dermatologically which fits the purple lines/rash thing. Does anyone have any ideas? I say again, he has no fever, headache, sore throat, stiff neck, gastro symptoms, nothing....

We did move to a new town two weeks ago, over a thousand miles from our last place. the climate is different and the water is different and he is wearing new school uniforms, so could it be a form of allercgic dermatitis?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be pityriasis rosea, lichen planus, nummular eczema or bruising. The other possibility is of systemic diseases like sarcoidosis and Kaposi’s sarcoma. My sincere advice would be to get it examined from a dermatologist as treatment is diagnosis specific and the diagnosis has to be confirmed first.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
