rash below belly, line above pubic hair

I have a re-occuring rash below my belly on the line just above pubic hair. Showering every day and using powder seems to clear it up for a day or two but during the winter it just keeps coming back.  I also tried Ozonol and Cortate creams which just seem to make it itch not take away the redness. Baby powder seems to work over a few days but is there any over the counter powder that works better?

Hi,

This could be due to some bacterial infection/ fungal infection or dermatitis or eczema, etc.

Nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions.

It would be best to consult a doctor about the symptoms if they do not resolve and get a proper clinical examination.

Keep the area clean and wear clothes washed in a few drops of chlorhexidine preferably and dried in the sun.Maintain good personal hygiene and wear lose comfortable clothes. Apply calamine lotion at the sites ,and take oral antihistamine medications like loratadine or cetrizine for the itching. You could apply some over the counter antifungal cream like clotrimazole and use some powder to keep the area dry.

Let us know about what your doctor advises and how you are doing.

Regards.
