Random small bug bite looking bumps appear, then disappear after approx. an hour

I was diagnosed with a shingles related rash approx. 2 months ago, and just about 2 days ago I started getting these random insect bite looking bumps on random parts of my body. I first noticed it while washing dishes, I noticed the top of my ankles began to itch. I took a closer look and it appeared as if I had been bit on both of my ankles. I then look back an hour later and nothing is there. I then notice the same thing when I am sleeping. I wake up and my wrist is kinda itchy and then I have a little reddish bump beginning to rise. They itch for a little while then just go away, its super weird. Hopefully someone knows what this is and if it is in any way connected with shingles.

A shingles rash usually stays on one side of the body.  Bites on your ankles I'm guessing you already ruled out mosquitoes, fire ants, flea bites?....I would change laundry detergent to a hypo allergenic type if possible wash all bed clothes.  I have a history of shingles but thankfully with none of the residual effects.  But, I do as you say get random insect bite bumps sometimes, I just put some caladryl clear itch medicine on them and try to forget about them....I dont think I helped very much but I would suggest for sure wash all your bed linen take a shower before bed and use a mild body lotion and go to your doctor or a dermatologist for a more accurate dx if this persists.  Have they suggested you get the shingles shot? Have a great day I hope.
