red burning skin post sex

For the last 6 months, about 25% of the time, my penis has had buring sensation during intercourse, so much i run to wash it off. this  from bare unprotected (using no lube) sex . It is like the chem of her vagina majorly irritates me at times. She showers only every 2 days, and has has yeast inf'ns occasionally , but not for over 9 mos ...

the last time a week ago , I finally examined my penis and noticed a 1/2" and 1/16" scaley red patches on the right side. the two patches have slowly gone down and are 80% gone. But today, oddly noticed a 2mm purple spot on the crown of my penis near the red patch (which is on foreskin) .

I am perplexed .  Have had no other partners, ever.

Thanks .

Last week my wife got some 5 day cream to treat bacterial vaginosis...we abstained for 5 days, and the inserted creme took away the fish smell, we had sex, and I got no burning at all. Then two days later we had sex,and the SAME AREA on my penis as before started burning and actaully had little swelling spots, perhaps 10 bumps pinhead size and clear....I washed and applyed hydrocort1%, and it turned to a pink blotchy area now 2 days later.... Other facts: We are 40s, perfect health history/ lifestyle, no other symptoms ; She has Merina IUD, I have generally sensitive skin, some adult acne....I guess I 'll chk for eczema /psoriasos(mydad has had for years in nails) , any other reco's ? Thanks for your above answer, it was very insightful .

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI,

This could be from irritation, infection, eczema or psoriasis.  Are there other symptoms present? Eczema  most commonly affects other parts of the body, but occasionally it may first appear on the penis. In such cases, it may be a skin reaction to an irritant and appears as diffuse red plaques with a poorly defined edge and finely scaled surface. It frequently causes quite severe irritation. It can be caused by infection or local reaction to skin injury from chemicals or radiation. It would be best if you have this  evaluated further for proper management. A complete medical history and physical examination are important in reaching a diagnosis and to rule out other causes such as fungal infection or other skin problems.

Take care and regards.
