red dots on skin

I have over the past year had an increase in these red dots on my skin. some of them are about a cm and some are pin point, they are light pink or red. They are flat and do not both me except for the sight of them. the are mostly on my hands but I have two on my upper chest and about four-five cmm ones on my legs.

Any Idea what these are?

Thank you very much for the response! I was wondering if they were related to sun being so young I didn't think so but I will see a dermatologist for a dignosis. I know one personally and she just said it was nothing to worry about but I can't stand to look at them so I'll see another one.

Thanks again!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These can be due to solar lentigo caused by sun exposure or cherry angiomas. Cherry angiomas are made up of clusters of tiny capillaries at the surface of the skin, forming a small round dome ("papule"), which may be flat topped.

If they are to be removed for cosmetic reasons, electrosurgery and cryosurgery can be used. More recently pulsed dye laser or Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment are also used.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
